Swimming
-
Whether you want to splash, play, or cool off, Pai has several pools that are great for families. While we’re putting together a full curated list, here are a few favourites:
Baan Kung Kang De Pai – Pai’s largest and most popular pool. It has a shallow area that’s perfect for toddlers, gradually deepening for older kids and adults with plenty of room for adults to swim laps and not be interrupted by others. Busy on weekends, but there’s a café on site for snacks and drinks. Entry: 70 THB per person (all ages). Find it on Google Maps here.
Fluid Swimming Pool – A favourite for older kids and teens. The pool is lively as it’s popular for backpackers, sometimes feeling like a mini party, but it’s fun and surrounded by grass for sunbathing. Entry: 100 THB per person; kids are free. Find it on Google Maps here.
Cha Li’s Family Hotel & Hostel – A smaller pool with gradual step entry, saltwater filtration, and temperature control. Great for families who prioritise gentler water for little ones. Entry: 100 THB per person. Find it on Google Maps here.
Swimming is a fun way for kids to move, cool off, and enjoy Pai with the family — whether it’s a splash for toddlers or a space for teens to hang out.
Bicycles

Exploring Pai by bike is one of the simplest joys for families to experience. You’ll find small bicycles for kids and teens, and even tiny three-wheelers for toddlers who are just learning.
Papa’s Pedals remains the go-to spot for all ages. Known for its kind local owners, well-maintained bikes, and thoughtful service, Papa’s offers everything from child seats and wagons to mini bikes perfectly sized for young riders.
The Toast Office is another great option, offering a small but well-curated range of rental and purchase bikes designed with families in mind — from toddler tricycles to double-seat cruisers with removable child seats.
